Why do I need training?
Used correctly, ATV’s , or quad bikes, are very versatile vehicles with a wide variety of uses. A range of attachments, including trailers, sprayers and spreaders, make them even more flexible and effective business tools.
But even the most experienced ATV riders can find themselves in hazardous and potentially dangerous situations. Serious accidents can and do occur without proper training.
Training is a legal requirement. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that ATV’s are used only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use, including towed equipment and attachments. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.
Learn from the Professionals
Lantra Awards has many years’ experience of developing training courses of the highest standards. Our courses are delivered exclusively through a network of registered training providers and instructors. So you can be sure that you ill be trained by people who are qualified and experienced with ATV’s.
Training is done in small groups so that you receive plenty of individual attention, supplemented by course materials. We work closely with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that our materials reflect current safe working practices.
One-stop training and assessment
Our ATV courses provide both training and assessment, so that at the end of the course you know whether you have reached the Lantra Awards standard.
